From a small core group of 4 members in 1999, the membership of FOMA has grown to over 250 members.  We have at least one member in every state in the Union and we are continuing to enroll new members who are anxious to support the efforts of FOMA on Midway.
 
Over the past 6 years, we have been able to provide substantial assistance to the Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge in many ways.  We have given $10,000 to support the Laysan Duck project.  We have purchased 10 bicycles and baskets for the volunteers and staff.  We have supported the Christmas Bird Count volunteers by providing funds to cover the cost of their meals while on Midway.  We have been able to greatly increase the number and quality of items in our "Gift Shop".  We have been active in Washington, D.C., meeting with many of our legislators for the benefit of our refuge.
